Over the course of 30 years of technological innovation at H-FANG, a number of outstanding pioneers have emerged as trailblazers who strive at the forefront of scientific research, work diligently in silence and dare to explore new possibilities. Endowed with profound professional expertise, acute insight and persistent innovative spirit, they have made remarkable contributions to the company’s technological advancement and development.

For an individual, there is no more precious pursuit than wholeheartedly devoting oneself to a great cause. Since joining H-FANG in 1996, Xu Lin has spent 29 years with the company. As a seasoned senior employee, he has personally witnessed H-FANG’s transformation from a small startup to a large-scale enterprise, from being weak to becoming strong, and has experienced all the hardships and glories along the way. Throughout his career, he has long focused on product technological innovation and R&D, undertaking numerous key technical tasks for the company. With exquisite craftsmanship and outstanding leadership, he has led his team to overcome many technical challenges, contributing significantly to the construction and development of the company. His efforts were recognized with the "Technological Innovation Award" at the 2024 Annual Excellence Selection.

Over the past year, he has stood out as a technical expert who embodies the spirit of craftsmanship. Years of accumulated experience have enabled him to handle problems with calm composure, helping the company resolve numerous practical operational difficulties. Previously, the compact spinning system was affected by the market-available large-flap tension stand, putting the company’s engineering team in a passive response position; in addition, the assembly of the large-flap tension stand was cumbersome. To simplify the tension stand structure and enhance product differentiation in sales, Xu Lin collaborated with Engineering Manager Tang Zhengyong to develop a torsion spring-type tension stand. In optimizing the production process of stainless steel profiled tubes, he set a goal to reduce the comprehensive cost of stainless steel profiled tubes to a level close to that of the existing second-generation tubes. Meanwhile, in the application of surface hardening technology for stainless steel profiled tubes, he increased the surface hardness of stainless steel to over HV1000, effectively boosting market competitiveness.

Technological innovation is not only the foundation of enterprise development, but also the source of momentum for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. In the work of product cost reduction and efficiency enhancement, Xu Lin has demonstrated exceptional professional capabilities and innovative spirit. He collaborated with Luo Qing from the Engineering Department to develop a Japanese-style tensioner, and joined hands with Engineer Zhou Yao’en from the Research Institute and Luo Qing from the Engineering Department to develop a hysteresis tensioner. Furthermore, he redesigned the original left and right components of the auto doffing short arm into a centralized 720-0205C version. Through these synergistic collaborations with multiple researchers, Xu Lin helped the company achieve more than 300,000 yuan in cost savings in 2024, making outstanding contributions to the company’s cost reduction and efficiency enhancement efforts.

In his daily work, Xu Lin always keeps in mind the H-FANG values of "Growth, Collaboration, Responsibility, Innovation", and deeply integrates these values into his practical work. He sets an example for all product lines in terms of staff training, inter-departmental coordination, equipment upgrading, process improvement and product R&D. Especially when mediating conflicts between departments, he fully utilizes H-FANG’s values to guide the conflicting parties, achieving personal growth while helping others succeed. In the process of new product R&D, he dares to take on responsibilities. Leveraging his rich process experience and supplier resources, he accompanies R&D personnel on visits to suppliers, production sites and customer application scenarios. He summarizes lessons from failures and gains knowledge from successes, continuously injecting new vitality into the development of the company’s process technologies through persistent innovation.
